About Taylor Ledford

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.

My parents moved to Lagrange while I was in college and I moved here to go to grad school in Columbus. I met Marc and so we ended up moving to Lagrange after I finished school. We will celebrate our eighth wedding anniversary this year and it has flown by. I married my best friend and he makes my life better every day. I have two grown step children Kelsie and Braden who made me a mom right away. They are amazing young people and I am so fortunate to be their bonus mom. I have a four year old, Gilbert, a two year old, Lottie Jane, and a one year old, Walton. They are the best kids in the world and I am blessed beyond measure to have such an amazing family.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?

I have worked for the past eight years as the manager of Garden Solutions on Hill St. It allowed me to meet and connect with so many people in this community and it gave me so much knowledge about plants and the horticulture industry. Since having my son in late 2023 I have stepped back and am staying home more with my kids which I absolutely love. I have also begun some gardening consulting and coaching with clients in their own gardens. I love getting the opportunity to see people’s spaces and hear what they imagine for it and what they hope it will be and then helping them realize and create their vision. I want people to get outside and feel the sunshine and get dirt under their nails and just enjoy the beauty of God’s creation.

Q: What advice would you give to people?

Always be kind, you never know what someone is going through

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?

Homeschooling my kids, helping people create their dream gardens, enjoying time with my husband and serving the Lord in whatever He has for me.

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?

Not a business, one of our first dates was to the Christmas parade and it always takes me back.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?

I love the Thread. We spend a lot of time on our bikes or going for walks and I love seeing people doing their things and everyone is always so friendly.

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?

Monty Don because he is just as giddy over gardens as I am and I would just pick his brain over everything. We’d probably grab a plate from Taste of Lemon then have a picnic at Hills and Dales.
