Kathy & Grover Golden
Grover and Kathy Golden – ‘TEAM GOLDEN’ have a combined experience of 46 years in the local real estate market. Grover has been the Managing Broker of Coldwell Banker Spinks Brown Durand for the majority of his real estate career and Kathy is a retired teacher with 30 years of experience in the classroom. Our number one rule is the Golden Rule “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” Matthew 7:12. Our simple goal is to help people in the community achieve their dreams of home ownership. Our strategy has always been to help people and have fun while doing so – then everything else will work out fine.
The success of Team Golden has been from word of mouth and repeat business, however we do love introducing newcomers to our awesome town!
Grover and Kathy have been married for 33 years and have two wonderful children, Mary Gail and Gus. Mary Gail followed the family tradition and is a Realtor in Auburn Alabama. She and her husband John have given us two precious grandsons, Sam and James. Gus recently graduated from the University of West Georgia with a BSN and will be a nurse at Well Star West Georgia. He and his wife Emily are enjoying traveling before starting a family.
Both Grover and Kathy enjoy music. Grover plays the Dobro and is learning the Mandolin while Kathy enjoys the piano. They love going to small venue concerts, especially if Bluegrass music is involved. They also love to work in their very BIG garden and share God’s bountiful blessings with neighbors, friends, clients and family. They attend Unity Baptist Church where Grover is a Deacon and Sunday School teacher. Kathy is the director of the Unity Baptist Church Food Ministry Program which distributes food and personal care items to local citizens in need. Both coordinate and prepare meals for Wednesday Night Fellowship at Unity Baptist. When they are not at church, selling real estate or working in the garden you will find them hiking in the woods, spending time with their grandsons or sitting on their porch watching the sun go down and lightening bugs come out!
LaGrange has been a wonderful place to live, work and raise a family. It is the perfect mix of natural beauty and interesting people and places. We have everything from West Point Lake with 500 miles of shoreline to an incredible symphony orchestra. It’s a unique combination of culture and quiet country.
We are honored to bring to life the amazing members of our community through our project, The Faces of LaGrange. Seeing is believing. A community is simply a reflection of those that live there. Our
