I enjoy being outdoors, gardening, traveling, relaxing with friends, and spending time with my family. My favorite place to shop in town is Adaleigh’s nursery, and I would spend all of my time and money there if I could.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.

I am married to Evan Hart. We have two daughters Jada Bonner (Jacob) and Emmaline Hart (17) along either 3 grandchildren Maxton (6), Haisley(4) and Asher (1) and one due in November.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?

I teach 8th grade physical science at Long Cane Middle School. I love absolutely everything about my job. Science is my jam and I love sharing that with young minds.

Q: What advice would you give to people?

Work hard and play harder. Have faith in God, love your family with all you have and treat your friends as if they are family. Stay positive, be kind and take time for yourself!

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?

Beacon is my # 1 but I also love Venucci, Fat Daddy’s, Mi Pueblito, Rio Grande, Karvelas Pizza and of course Rock Salt… EAT LOCAL

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?

I started working at 14 as a grocery bagger at Winn Dixie

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?

Doug Roberts at Rabbiteye Farms.

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?

Mansours, I can still smell the store and walk through each department in my mind.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?

I love downtown events and Sweetland

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?

I would choose Willie Nelson and would definitely take him to Beacon. I am a huge fan of his music and his devotion to family farmers. FYI Farm Aid is amazing and highly recommended.

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?

I have three favorite movies Good Morning Vietnam, Tombstone and Hope Floats. I really don’t have a favorite TV show

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?

I can not stand the feel of wooden spoons
